Greetings Friends!

I’m sorry that I am just now checking in with you this week. I knew it was going to be a crazy week but thought I would have stopped in by now. Last Saturday,  I stepped on the scale here at work after drinking water for most of Friday and it paid off. I dropped another pound which brought me to a grand total of 10.8lbs in 4 weeks and 2 days! Whoo hoo!!! It felt so good to hit that 10lb marker!!

Going into this week I prepared myself with the goal to simply maintain that weight loss. My church is presenting The Living Christmas Tree at Thompson Boling Arena this weekend which meant a week full of rehearsals. I knew I wouldn’t make it to the gym and that I would need to just stick with simple meals this week. I have eaten out more this week due to the fact that I have not had time to get to the grocery store. So twice for lunch I went to McDonald’s to pick up a side salad and a double cheeseburger without the bun. I put that baby on a spinach wrap. It was so good!

I’m trying to keep everything simple this week because it is so easy to get overwhelmed with The Living Christmas Tree and Christmas right here on us and then to have to think about food … ugh. 🙂 I’m going back to the basics of almonds, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, peanut butter wraps, chicken and tuna fish!

Today starts the 6th week. I can’t believe it. As of today, I am down 13 lbs … which feels pretty good! I actually took my shoes off today to weigh because I had on cowboy boots and I was down 2 whole pounds from yesterday. Glory!! =)

I can’t explain how much of a difference each week is for me in how I feel. I have more energy. “Little Miss Chronic Lunch Time Napper” here no longer exists! I feel bubbly on the inside vs simply looking like a big ol’ bubble on the outside. Ha! I’ve tested the carb waters a bit … by geting a Starbucks – a grande skinny cinnamon dolce latte. I knew it would be 19 carbs and alotted for it. I couldn’t even drink 1/2 of it! One night I had an extra bowl of a vegetable soup that I had made. It was 9 carbs per serving. I wasn’t really hungry for it but it tasted good and vegetable soup is my favorite. I had enough “carb room” to eat another bowl. So I did for the heck of it. My stomach was not happy with me. It was full and here I am trying to stuff it? I’m so thankful that my body is training itself to be full and to stick it. What a blessing!!!
