It took some time but I’m back on the right track. I had my physical on 9/26/14 as I shared in the previous post. I made it through 3 rough weeks with a flare up of my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. The season changing over and the rain were not kind to me. I spent a lot of time sleeping. And I do mean a lot of time sleeping. Think 15 hours’ worth one Saturday to Sunday.  I finally replaced the battery in my home scale so I could keep up with my weight there.

I made a few slight changes starting Sunday night and from when I weighed myself last week to today I’m down 2.8. I’m down an additional pound since my physical so that’s a total of 3.8. Since I haven’t really been trying I’ll take that weight loss! The Lord has called me to make this much more a spiritual journey than the last time and I’ll share more of that much later on but it will definitely effect how I’ll be eating.

Sugar Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer

I will be sticking to 30-40 carbs a day. This week my focus will be on portions, meal prep and working out. I cooked some bacon last night for a salad and for this morning’s breakfast. I had already prepared some hard boiled eggs on Sunday for the week. I made a spinach lasagna (recipe can be found on the recipe blog) on Sunday night and I’m eating that for dinner the next few nights. I did purchase a few treats at Trader Joe’s because it’s the Fall and I love the taste of Fall. But I’m going to have to be very conscious of my choices when “treating” myself. I was excited when I found this option at Target a few weeks back. 2 carbs per serving = 1 tbsp!! Confession: I do not measure out 1 tbsp … but I’ll start. Tonight … I will work out! I’ll go back and start week 1 of the VitalSigns DVDs and fully commit to the next 8 weeks come rain or shine or fibromyalgia. I can do this. I need to do this. I want to do this.

It’s now or never!
